Sequence of events

Here's a little guidance.

Do you want to receive psychotherapeutic treatment, but don't know what that actually means? Then I would like to give you a brief introduction to the first steps.

Geting in touch
It always starts with your call or e-mail. You have the opportunity to tell me, for example, what it is about, how urgent it is and if possible, how long the problem lasts. It is important that all points are clarified for you at first.
You will then receive suggested appointments for an initial consultation. This should give you the opportunity to get an idea of the practice, the from of therapy and me as a person. You are welcome to ask me any further questions. I will also ask you questions which, on the one hand, serve as an anamnesis and, on the other hand, are intended to define or limit therapy goals in more detail.

Duration
The length of each unit (initial consultation or therapy session) is approximately 50 minutes.

Confidentiality
All topics discussed within the psychotherapeutic setting are subject to confidentiality. As far as I am concerned, no information may be passed on to third parties unless there is suspicion of danger to yourself or others. According to Section 15 Paragraph 6 PthG, comprehensive protection of personal rights as well as the unrestricted obligation to maintain confidentiality regarding secrets must be guaranteed .

Caneellation
If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, there is a 48-hour cancellation period. There are no costs incurred within this period. I also need to agree on a holiday arrangement with you.

Frequency
By default, the frequency of the units is set to once a week. However, this can vary, as it may be necessary to hold longer or several sessions at the beginning of therapy or in crises. It is also common towards the end of therapy to hold the sessions at increasingly longer intervals as the urgency can decrease.
